Programs & Services

The Council's programs and services are delivered through three regional offices by a permanent staff of eleven. The staff are divided into three departments, each of which offer a range of programs and services. Check into exactly what they do by clicking on their names.

The Access Department offers a range of services ranging from information to assistance with disability pension appeals and public education.

The Employment Department offers a number of employment and career related services to people with disabilities.

The Administration Department carries out a lot of the clerical and administrative work of the Council, but also offers the Snoezelen Room and Designated Parking Permit programs.

The Summer Tutoring Program is a Province-wide service first offered by the Council in 2006. The program is for children with disabilities who would otherwise lose school and literacy skills over the Summer months.

The PEICOD has entered into a working partnership with Harding Medical in support of the Summer Tutoring Program. The program has a long-standing proven track record of success in providing tutorial support for students with disabilities throughout the vacation months of July and August. The PEICOD is delighted to enter into this new working relationship with Harding Medical and look forward to the many benefits it promises to bring to the education of our students.
